Solution of Sample 1 Questions (Quantitative) 1. suppose W= women and M=men so 8(2M+3W) = 1 hence (for 8 days) 2M+3W=1/8 ----- (1) hence 12(4M+5W) = 1 so (for 12 days) 4M+5W=1/12  ----- (2) mutiply eq(1) by 2 4M+6W=1/4 now subtract eq(2) from it    4M + 6W = 1/4    4M + 5W = 1/12 - --------------------------     0   + 1W = 1/4 - 1/12 = (3-1)/12 = 1/12   1W = 1/12 hence 12W = 1 so 12 women can complete a task in a day. 2. Suppose Ali is X years old. And Asif is 30 years old. (Present) three years before Ali was10 years older then Asif so Asif was 30-3=27 years old.
